COLOMBO (News 1st) –  The Sri Lanka Cricket team arrived in Pakistan today under Presidential level security, to take part in their limited overseas series with the hosts.

The team was welcomed with a special event following their arrival at the Karachi airport.

The Sri Lanka – Pakistan series will be comprised of three ODI matches and three T20 matches.

This is the first time following the Lahore terror attacks on the Sri Lanka Team in 2009, that an international team is engaged in a tour of Pakistan.

While Lahiru Thirimanne will captain the ODI team, Dasun Shanaka will lead the T-20 side.

The first ODI between the two sides will take place on Friday.
