Ranjith Siyambalapitiya summoned by the PCoI

Colombo (News 1st): Former Minister of Power and Energy Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has been summoned to the Presidential Commission appointed to probe fraud and corruption. He has been summoned over a complaint regarding irregularities in the purchasing of electricity by the Ceylon Electricity Board. The investigation is based on observations made by Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka in a Cabinet paper. Secretary of the Ministry of Power and Energy Suren Batagoda has also testified before the Presidential Commission regarding the investigation.
