Suspect arrested for forging documents

Colombo (News 1st): Police arrested a 51-year-old man, for engaging in document forgery, in Rajaala, Hingurakgoda. Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said counterfeit police reports, driving licences, marriage certificates, medical certificates, and Grama Niladari certificates were discovered at the premises. Police seized a computer and two printers which were used in the document preparation process. 86 official seals belonging to state institutions were also discovered in his possession. The suspect is due to be produced before the Hingurakgoda Magistrate court.
