Examination of evidence in Ranjan's case postponed

SC postpones evidence examination in case against Ranjan Ramanayake as he is sitting for AL exams

Colombo (News 1st): The Supreme Court today (August 5) ordered to postpone till tomorrow (August 6) the examination of evidence in the case filed against State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake for contempt of court. The examination of evidence was postponed as member of the three-judge bench was on leave. The case was taken up today before Justices Prasanna Jayawardena and Vijith Malalgoda. The Supreme court excused Ramanayake's absence at the trial both today and tomorrow, as he is sitting for the G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations which began today. The permission was granted during the previous hearing.
