Two arrested for conducting tuition classes

Colombo (News 1st): Two teachers have been arrested for holding extra classes and seminars for Grade 5 scholarship students and G.C.E. Advanced level students. The arrests were made in Anuradhapura and Moratuwa during operations carried out by the police. All seminars, lectures and tuition classes pertaining to the G.C.E. A/L examinations, were suspended from July 30th while tuition classes and seminars pertaining to the scholarship exam were suspended from  July 31st. The Examinations Department stated that strict legal action will be taken against those who ignore these orders.
