Reuters: Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Margot Robbie brought glamour to London for the premiere of 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' on Tuesday (July 30). The film directed by Quentin Tarantino arrives in Europe after it opened in North America raking in $40 million dollars, a career-best for Tarantino. Set in the late 1960s against the backdrop of the Manson family murders, the film sees DiCaprio's character as a struggling actor who goes to Italy for more work in the genre that would become known as a 'Spaghetti Western'. Italian director Sergio Leone was famed for that genre and made the films 'Once Upon a Time in the West' (1968) and 'Once Upon a Time in America' (1984). Tarantino's title and references to the Spaghetti Western genre appear to show the director stepping into Leone's territory, a feat that would be intimidating for most directors. But for the film's cast, the 'Kill Bill' director was the right man for the job. "I mean he's almost forensic in his research and we had so many amazing reference points from films that we saw," Brad Pitt said at the premiere. The film is set to hit UK cinemas on August 14.
