Milk packet for every primary school student islandwide

COLOMBO (News 1st) -A programme to provide a packet of nutritious milk for every primary student commenced today(July 23) under the auspices of President Maithripala Siriesena. The programme kicks off at Kajuwatta Srasthrodaya Vidyalaya in Ratnapura under the theme of "A nation nurtured with milk". The programme is planned to provide 150ml of milk for every primary school student in the country. The government has allocated Rs 100bn to nourish 450,000 primary students every year.
