Sarath Fonseka states that the UNP has not decided on a Presidential candidate

COLOMBO (News 1st): Responding to questions by journalists, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka commented on the next Presidential Candidate from the United National Party. He stated that they have not yet formally named a Presidential candidate from their party and that if the opportunity is handed over to him that he will consider it. Also commenting on Mangala Samaraweera's recent statement on making Sajith Premadasa the upcoming Presidential candidate of the party, he said that this is where the issue lies since they propose various names as part of their personal agendas. He added that everything should take place according to the constitution and that names cannot be proposed just like that.
