Army soldier who shot father of three produced before court

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Army soldier who was arrested for shooting an individual while on duty at the Upananda Kanishta Vidyalaya in Maanawila, Akmeemana was produced before the Galle magistrate court today (July 5). The soldier shot and killed an individual who attempted to force his way into the school. There was a low student turn out at the school due to the incident. The security around the school was also tightened by the officials of the Army. The 39 year old deceased was a resident of Pilaana, Galle. He was a father of three.
