COLOMBO (News 1st) – Sixteen fishermen who were engaged in illegal fishing activities were arrested in Trincomalee today(July 04). The suspects were arrested along with 2 dingy boats.

The Navy stated that they were using illegal fishing nets for their fishing activities. The arrested fishermen were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector’s Office in Werugal for further processing.
