Ambulance crashes into bike killing rider at Hanwella

Colombo (News 1st): A 42-year-old died when the motorbike he was travelling on collided with an ambulance in Hanwella. 

Police said the accident occurred when the ambulance travelling from Kaduwela to Avissawella collided with a motorcycle while attempting to overtake another vehicle.

The motorcyclist who was seriously injured in the accident succumbed to his injuries upon admission to hospital.  

The driver of the ambulance has been arrested.
