COLOMBO (News 1st) – A fire erupted at a matchbox factory in Werellagama, Katugastota.

Police stated that the fire broke out in a matchbox warehouse and it was reported that the warehouse was heavily damaged due to the fire.

The Kandy Fire Brigade deployed four fire trucks to contain the situation and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
