Minister Rajitha Senaratne reappointed as a Deputy Chairperson to WHO

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister Rajitha Senaratne was reappointed as a Deputy Chairperson of the World Health Organization at the executive committee session for 2019 - 2020. The minister earlier served as a deputy chairperson on the committee in 2017. The minister is also a member of the Executive Committee of the organization. The 72nd annual convention of the World Health Organization commenced on the 19th of May in Geneva, Switzerland. It's Executive Committee session commenced yesterday(May 29) and it is scheduled to conclude today (May 30).
