Search operarions 5/28: Hand grenade and car without number plates found

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Several search operations were carried out across the country yesterday(May 28). The Kuda-Oya army discovered a hand grenade in a plot of land in Hambegamuwa, Thanamalvila yesterday(May 27). A police guard was assigned to the land following the discovery and the Bomb Disposal Unit in Kataragama is scheduled to diffuse the hand grenade today(May 28). Meanwhile, Police seized a car without number plates in Panadura South. The locals stated that the house in which the car was found had been vacant for some time. The owner of the house is yet to report to the police station and further investigations are underway.
