Group of IS terrorists land in Indian island - Indian Intel

COLOMBO (News 1st): Quoting Indian intelligence reports, Indian media reported that a number of IS terrorists had arrived at the Lakshadweep island in India. According to Indian media, measures were adopted following the information received by their intelligence of a vessel that had left for India's Lakshadweep island carrying 15 IS terrorists from Sri Lanka. The Indian Police department had taken steps to inform police stations in the coastal belt and Chief District Coastal police officers. Indian media revealed that the Indian Coastal Police department has been vigilant in this regard from the 23rd of this month. According to Indian media reports the Indian Intelligence has revealed, that a significant number of IS members who arrived from Iraq and Syria are currently in the Indian State of Kerala. News 1st inquired from the Sri Lanka Navy media spokesperson Lieutenant Commander Isuru Suriyabandara on this matter, and he responded that the Sri Lankan Navy has not been officially been informed of this matter. He further said that necessary steps have however been taken and that security has been strengthened in the coastal areas despite not being informed.
