UPFA to refrain from joining parliamentary select committee

Colombo (News 1st): The United People's Freedom Alliance has decided to refrain from joining the 04/21 parliamentary select committee. Speaking at a media briefing today UPFA General Secretary Mahinda Amaraweera noted that as the UPFA and the SLFP they have decided not to participate in the Parliamentary select committee. He noted that they don't see that this select committee was appointed with the objective of solving this issue. He pointed out that this as an attempt to sweep these problems under the carpet. Amaraweera noted that all 96 MP's have no intention of participating in this.
