  1. The islandwide curfew which was imposed from 9 pm last night (May 13) ended at 4 am today.
  2. The curfew imposed in Gampaha and North Western province was lifted at 6 am today.

  4. Nine suspects arrested in connection to the unrest reported on May 13th, in Minuwangoda and other areas were remanded until May 29th after they were produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrates Court.

Ministry of Finance states that the International Development Association of the World Bank has provided a loan facility of US$ 70 million to strengthen the service provided by 134 local authorities in the Northern, Eastern, North Central and Uva Provinces under a Local Development Support Project.
