Extreme heat wave in North today

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Meteorology issuing an advisory states that several areas in the Northern area will experience extreme heat weather today (May 10). The heat wave is expected to affect areas in the Mannar, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi districts and the North Central and Eastern provinces. The locals are advised to drink more water, rest in shady areas and also pay extra attention to the elderly and the sick people.
