Colombo (News 1st): Speaking in parliament today regarding the Easter attack Minster Rauff Hakeem noted that they must, however, confess and concede that they are collectively guilty of complacency in not taking immediate action when there were intelligence reports pointing towards the possibility of these heinous attacks. This is what M.A. Sumanthiran had to say regarding the attacks,
"We are grieving, but yet we will not allow hate and revenge to overtake us, we love each other; we forgive. This does not mean that those who are responsible for this carnage can go scot-free. The objective should not be revenge but seeking truth accountability and justice. It is the duty of the state to vigorously pursue them and bring them to justice in accordance with the law."
