MR says no conspiracies; ready to topple the government at any time

Colombo (News 1st): Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa attended an oil anointing ceremony this morning (April 17) at the Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya along with former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa. The anointing of oil was carried out by the Chief Incumbent of the Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya, Venerable Bellanwila Dhammarathana Thero. The opposition leader then spoke to the journalists present at the event. He noted that there no conspiracies and that they are ready to topple the government at any time. He noted that they have the right to do so at any time. When questioned on the next Presidential Candidate, he noted that they will take a decision together with all the parties and present someone who can win for sure. He was also questioned regarding the case filed against Gotabaya Rajapaksa in California. He noted that there will be more cases. He noted that anyone can file cases and that itself depicts how scared they are.
