Accident that injured 5 people

Colombo (News 1st) - Five people were injured last evening when a van collided with a trishaw on the Matara - Kataragama main road. The accident had occurred while they were on a pilgrimage from Bentara to Kataragama. The 4 people who were travelling in the van and driver of the trishaw were admitted to the Ambalantota District hospital. Police stated the accident happened because the van driver had fallen asleep. Investigation into this incident is being conducted by the Hungama police.
