President calls for report on Grade 5 scholarship exam

Colombo (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena has advised education experts to submit a report, within a month's time, on whether the grade 5 scholarship exams should be conducted or not. He said this during a discussion at the Presidential Secretariat. The Ministry of Education issued a circular recently stating that the Grade 5 scholarship examination was no longer mandatory.
