UNP has no presidential candidate-Ramesh Pathirana

COLOMBO (News 1st) - At a meeting of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in Galle yesterday(April 09) UPFA MP Ramesh Pathirana shared his views on the upcoming presidential election. He noted that UNP is in a dilemma to decide on their presidential candidate. He noted that rumours say that Karu Jayasuriya is their candidate. He added that it also says that Karu Jayasuriya is to be the president if they win the election while Ranil Wickremesinghe will be the prime minister. On a humorous note, he added, that in any case the government will be run by politically defeated Ranil Wickremesinghe. The MP noted that they have already decided who their candidate is: Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. He was confident that Gotabhaya Rajapaksa would win and he has already left to the US to cancel his US citizenship.
