COLOMBO (News 1st) –  The community hall built in Mahena, Weligama was declared open by the Chairman of Weligama Urban Council Rehan Jayawickreme.

The construction of the hall cost Rs. 860,000.

Rehan Jayawickreme addressing the crowd said:

That although the community hall was constructed using the funds of the council, every cent which was used by the Weligama Urban Council for the public was the fruition of his continuous pleading to the ministers in Colombo.

He noted that if some councillors are critical of his work. He said that councillors should help in finding funds; then he would spend more time in Weligama.
