Colombo (News 1st): The Leader of the JVP Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressing his views, at the Bala Mandala meeting of the Panduwasnuwara electorate yesterday (March 28) noted that it has been 40 years since the people of the country expected economic growth, freedom, democracy and a stop to fraud and corruption. He noted that the expectations of the people and the rulers are different. MP Dissanayake noted that Mahinda Rajapaksa is trying to come into power to cover up the theft committed by Ranil, but it is Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Rohitha Abeygunawardene, Keheliya Rambukwella, Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila who are in the forefront. Anura Kumara added that all of them have cases filed against them for stealing. Therefore, the people of this country will neither expect Mahinda Rajapaksa to act against Ranil's thievery nor to uplift the fallen economy. He went onto note that Rajapaksas and Wickremesinghe do not have the right to appear on behalf of democracy and economic development. He went onto note that the person who back then was recognized as a politician is now a symbol of thievery.
