Motor accident injures 4 in Hambantota

Colombo (News 1st): Four people were injured following an accident that took place in Weligatta, Hambantota around at around 10 PM last night (March 20). The accident took place when a lorry traveling from Hambantota to Kataragama toppled in Weligatta, Hambantota. The lorry was transporting paddy at the time of the accident. The accident is suspected to have occurred due to a mechanical failure in the lorry. Vehicular movement along Kataragama-Colombo road was disrupted due to the accident. Our correspondent in the area said the injured have been admitted to the Hambantota General Hospital.
