SLFP hopes to cast vote against budget - S.B. Dissanayake

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The treasurer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) S. B. Dissanayake expressed his views on the stance the party should take at the final vote of the budget. Commenting on the matter at a district representative meeting of the party in Kandy that was held in line with the SLFP restructuring program, he said that although everyone had initially intended to vote against the budget that at the last moment as a party they had decided to abstain from voting at all in order to safeguard the unity within the party. However, he also added that they hope that all of them together would be able to vote against this budget at its final vote.
