SLPP and SLFP to form an alliance?

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A special meeting between the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna is currently underway. This meeting is being held at the opposition leader's office. General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara, Thilanga Sumathipala and the former General Secretary of the party Professor Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa represented Sri Lanka Freedom Party while Professor G.L Peiris, Dullas Alahapperuma and Dr Jagath Wellawatta represented the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. The meeting is to discuss the strategy on working together for the common goals of the SLFP and the SLPP.
