COLOMBO (News 1st) – Issuing yet another extreme heat weather advisory the Department of Meteorology forecasts hot weather for most areas in the Northern, North Central and the North Western provinces today (March 10).

The Department requests the public to stay hydrated, remain in the shade as often as possible and avoid strenuous activities when working outdoors.

Further the elderly, the sick and children remaining indoors or outdoors are required to be given constant attention.

Prepared as per advice of the Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine.
