Colombo (News 1st): A private jet carrying 11 passengers made an emergency landing at the Katunayake Airport due to a technical issue.

The Duty Manager at the Airport said the plane bound for Hong Kong from the BIA encountered an issue in its landing gear. It is reported, when the plane was returning to the BIA the pilot had taken steps to dump all its fuel into the sea.

The Duty Manager at the Airport noted, however, the pilot was successful in landing the plane on the runway without any incident.
