Seven Virgins open for mountaineering

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A decision has been taken to allow both local and foreign tourists to climb the Seven Virgin Hills locally known as Sapthakanya Mountain in Maskeliya. The scenic mountain is located close to the Sri Pada road that runs through Norton Bridge and Maskeliya. Chairman of Ambagamuwa Pradeshiya Sabha Jayasanka Perera said that the decision was taken to support the development of tourism in the area.
