COLOMBO (News 1st) – Fifteen police officers were transferred once information on the murder of the two businessmen in Rathgama was revealed. The police have now started an investigation on five of the 15 transferred officers who did not report for duty.

The transferred officers are attached to the Southern Province Special Investigations Unit.

A senior officer in charge of the Matara area noted that although the transferred officers were due to report to their new service areas since yesterday (February 22) that five officers had not done so.
