COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Kesbewa Women's Bala Mandala meeting of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) was held yesterday (February 17). Politicians, artists and several others were among the participants at the meeting held at the Kesbewa Urban Council.
Speaking at the meeting UPFA MP Gamini Lokuge noted that no one could stop them from establishing a new government this year. He said that all standing orders to establish a national government were suspended and that the government does not have a majority anymore.
MP Lokuge said that the government is hoping that the budget proposal will be passed. If it is not passed he believes the government would collapse.
