Palali will be Sri Lanka's third international airport : Prime Minister

Colombo (News 1st): The people of Mullaitivu district who were affected by floods were given compensation for their loss of harvest. Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe participated at this event. Government officials, Ministers Rishad Bathiudeen, Wajira Abeywardena and parliamentarians including M.A. Sumanthiran of the Tamil National Alliance and several political representatives were present at this event. Speaking at the event Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe noted that they came to the province with the need to provide a better life for the people. He pointed out that the government has to service foreign debts of USD 6.5 billion. He said that the government is trying to develop the Trincomalee harbor and the oil tanks. The Premier went onto say that they have decided to bring new factories and to make the Palali airport a regional airport. He added that the Palali will be Sri Lanka's 3rd International airport.
