Police officer tussles with drug peddler and is injured in shooting

Colombo (News 1st): A police officer was injured in a shooting at Kadawatha. Police said that the shooting took place when the police officer was tussling with a suspected heroin peddler. The firearm had accidentally fired and injured the officer. He has been admitted to the Ragama Hospital.  A suspect has been arrested, while his mother, wife, and child were taken into police custody.
