Colombo (News 1st): The National Archery team is currently facing severe difficulties as they are deprived of a place for their practices.
Archer Indranath Perera noted that it has been 20 years since they began Archery and up to date they train at various places. He noted that the government or their union have not provided them with a roving course. As a result of this they are missing out on winning an Olympic or even a South Asian medal.
Archer Sajeev de Silva speaking regarding their crisis noted that the South Asian Games are in September and later in the year they have Olympic trials. He urged the relevant authorities to provide them with necessary facilities and a place to train in order to qualify and win medals for the country.
