One dead in Thanamalvila shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A person was killed and another suffered injuries in a shooting in Thanamalvila today(February 10). Forty-two-year-old Wasantha aka "Sudu Hakuru Sumith" was killed in the shoot out around 12.20 p.m today(February 10). Police state that a 22-year-old was hospitalized after suffering from injuries. The shooting was carried out by four individuals who arrived at the scene on two motorbikes. Police added that operations have been already commenced to arrest the suspects. Police further added that the deceased is a chief suspect of a murder took place six months ago.
