Live hand grenade discovered at a school in Ahungalla

Colombo (News 1st): A live hand grenade which was buried near the grounds of the Rajapaksa College, Ahungalla has been discovered. The News1st correspondent in the area noted that the discovery was made by a few parents who were working in the area. The Ahungalla police were then informed by the parents. Afterward, the police called on the Criminal Investigation Department of Elpitiya to the scene. The live grenade was defused at a beach in Ahungalla by the Bomb Disposal Team of the Kalutara Special Task Force.
