JUST IN: Proposal to increase number of Cabinet Ministers handed over to Speaker

COLOMBO (News 1st): Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya was handed a proposal today (February 1), seeking permission of Parliament to form a national government. The proposal also seeks to increase the number of Cabinet Ministers. The Leader of the House Minister Lakshman Kiriella told News 1st that the proposal was handed over to the Speaker this morning. Upon inquiry, the Speakers Office confirmed receiving the said proposal.
