Further delays in appointment of Chairpersons for state institutions

Colombo (News 1st) - The appointment of chairpersons and board directors to state institutions and other government bodies have been delayed as the relevant ministries are yet to hand over their recommendations for the positions. A member of the committee appointed by the President to vet the qualifications of the recommended persons told News1st that a number of their recommendations have already been forwarded to the President. He noted that they are on track to complete their task of vetting appointments to government bodies and institutions by next week.
