COLOMBO (News 1st) – Four people died while two others sustained injuries in motor accidents that occurred in several areas within the last 24 hours.

Wadduwa

An 18-year-old died this morning (January 12) when his motorbike collided onto a cab near the Thalpitiya junction in Wadduwa.

Jaffna

A 72-year-old person riding a bicycle died when the cycle collided with a motorbike in Nallur Arsadi, Jaffna.

Kalawanchikudi

Meanwhile, a 47-year-old died when a motorbike collided onto a lorry in Porthiu Junction, Kalawanchikudi.

The Police informed that the driver of the lorry was arrested over the incident.

Weligama

A tragic incident was reported from Weligama when a lorry veered off the road and collided onto three women, claiming the life of one.

The other two women sustained injuries in the accident.
