Toppled lorry blocks Ginigathhena-Laxapana road

Colombo (News 1st) - The Ginigathhena-Laxapana main road has been completely blocked since this morning, to a container which toppled across the road. Police stated that the accident occurred while the container was transporting 28 Tons of iron from the Colombo harbour. The accident occurred when the container tried to take a bend on the Ginigathhena - Laxapana main road, the accident occurred at around 2.30a.m. The container had been transporting equipment to a Hydro Power Plant which is under construction. Police have requested motorists to use alternative routes due to the accident.
