Special convention of the SLFP today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A special convention for the representatives of the SLFP chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena will be held today (December 04) at 2 p.m. at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium. The convention is themed "Decision for the country" at which the President is expected to make a special statement. Speaking to News 1st, the Secretary-General of the SLFP, Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa said this convention will cover several areas including the current political deadlock. He added that Parliamentarians, provincial councilors and other representatives of the SLFP will be attending the event.
