Couple arrested for attempting to smuggle Rs. 3 Mn

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Customs officials at the BIA have arrested two people who had attempted to smuggle currency over Rs. 3 million to Kuwait.
A Sri Lankan woman and a Kuwait national have been arrested over this incident.
Customs officials said the arrest was made when the married couple had arrived at the airport last night to travel to Kuwait.
