Met department predicts thundershowers

COLOMBO (News 1st) - According to the latest weather advisory issued by the Department of Meteorology this morning (November 24), there is a high possibility for thundershowers in the afternoon. Thundershowers will most likely develop after 2.00 p.m in North-Central, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and will also spread into the North-western, Western and Southern provinces in the evening or night. Heavy falls of about 100 mm can be expected in the North-western, Western, Central, and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Fairly heavy falls around 75 mm may also occur in North-central and Uva provinces.
