Country is asking for a change in leadership in the UNP

Colombo (News1st) - Ven. Thalpotha Dhammajothi Thero, the Chief Sanganayake of the Asgiri Chapter for Pathadumbara & Medadumbara says that the entire country is calling for a change of leadership in the United National party. Commenting on the speech delivered by UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa at yesterday's (Nov 15) rally in lipton roundabout and on his readiness to accept leadership, the thero stated that Ranil Wickremesinghe should think carefully of whether he wants to remain in his position or allow a new tier leadership to take charge of the party.  The thero believes that if this change occours both the UNP and the country will be able to overcome the current crisis. "I think that Ranil Wickramasinghe as the leader of the party will create a second-tier leadership and begin developing this country. We hope that this leadership will be created and Sajith Premadasa will be brought in."
