Colombo (News1st): Following the submission of the resignation letter, MP Manusha Nanayakkara met with Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees today (November 06).
He stated that as a person who respects democracy, and made sacrifices to protect democracy in this country, he resigned from his position since it was an act against democracy. He added that his fight to re-establish democracy in the country will commence from tomorrow.
General Secretary of the United National Party Akila Viraj Kariyawasam stated that another 15 parliamentarians have promised to extend their support to the UNP and express their opposition to the unconstitutional Prime Minister.
