COLOMBO (News 1st) – Petroleum trade unions state that they have resumed the distribution of fuel. The trade unions added that the distribution of fuel is being expedited through the addition of extra bowsers to transport fuel.
They also request the general public, to not collect fuel in excess and to pump only in the quantity required.
Petroleum trade unions commenced the strike, following a tense situation that erupted at the CPC Headquarters on Sunday (October 28). However, with the arrest of Former minister Arjuna Ranathunga, the trade unions decided to call off the strike.
