COLOMBO (News 1st) – Chairman of the National Livestock Board, Kanthimathinathan Muththu Vinayagam and Kadiresu Shivaneshan were further remanded till the 23rd of this month.
The order was given by Colombo Chief Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake.
The duo were arrested when attempting to obtain a bribery of Rs. 600,000 from a businessman. The bribery was obtained in order to provide the cafeteria of the Malsiripura farm on rent for two years.
The magistrate is to deliver his verdict on providing bail on the 23rd of October.
