Rainfall expected to reduce

Colombo (News1st): The Meteorological department predicts that prevailing rainfall over the south-western parts of the Island is expected to reduce from today (October 11). However, showers or thundershowers will occur in Central, Southern and Uva provinces and in Kalutara and Ratnapura districts. Heavy rains of about 75 mm can be expected in certain parts. The death toll from the inclement weather has risen to 12 with the Disaster Management Centre announcing that more than 60,000 people have been affected.
